Who
will the
DJ be?
If
selected as the DJ for your event, the DJ will be Dr. Gilly, and ONLY
Dr. Gilly. It is in the contract as well. Every contract
should mention who the scheduled DJ will be. You should also meet
with that person prior to signing
the contract, and work with him/her prior to your event.

Do you belong to a
professional organization or trade group?
I am a
member of the
American Disc Jockey Association (www.adja.org), and the Central IL DJ
Association. In addition, I am constantly networking with top DJs
in the country to get new and fresh ideas. I also attend
seminars, workshops, and
invest in materials to improve my business and performance.

Do you have a written
contract?
Yes.
My contract describes the date, times, location, and who
the DJ will be. The DJ will be Dr. Gilly, PHM.

Are you insured?
Do you have proof of liability insurance?
Yes. A
business owner should have
insurance to cover his assets, and should also have liability insurance.
I have insurance to cover me, should any unforseen circumstance
arise. If there is a breach of contract, or an accident
occurs, you may choose to recover from your loss. If the DJ
is not insured, you may not recover

Will
you be the master of
ceremonies?
I
will be the Master of Ceremonies unless you select another MC. I
will also provide coordination, to work with the other vendors, unless
you hire an event coordinator. We will discuss these questions
during our consultations.

Does
the DJ have references from
prior similar events?
During
our consultations, I
will show you many of the references I have.
Feel free to call any one of them.
As
your search continues for
an entertainer, you should ask each DJ for references as well.

How
much experience do you have in
my type of event?
With
25 years of
DJ and entertainment experience, I have done numerous events of
different
types. Contact me to discuss your type of event.

What is
your attire?
This is a
question that we will
also discuss. The bottom line is--it depends on your type of
event, your theme, and how you want the DJ to be dressed. In most
cases,
for formal wedding receptions, the Doctor will be in a tux.

How early do you arrive to
set up?
I usually
arrive 2 hours to set
up. This allows time to get the equipment set up, meet the staff
and other professionals, make final preparations, and change
into my appropriate attire

What is the backup plan if
you cannot perform?
As a
member of the Central
IL DJ
Association, I can utilize those resources, as well as solicit
other local DJs, so that your event
will not go without an entertainer.

format is your music in?
Do you bring all of your music to the event?

Music
is all on CDs. Music collection size is over 1500 CDs, 20,000
songs--all brought
to your event

Do you
take requests?
We will
discuss your
requests. I will ask you to indicate genres that you like.
I will also ask you for specific songs that you like.
You can
also mention songs that
should be played only by request. The will be honored
as such. They will not be played unless one of your guests
requests them.
I also ask
for songs that you DO
NOT like. You can pick songs or genres. Any song that is on
the DO NOT PLAY list will
not be played unless vetoed by you, in person.

Sound
equipment,

is designed
for the size of the room and number of guests you are expecting.

also ask about backup

A basic
light show is included in
the pricing. This includes moving lights (not pin spots)
A ”high
tech” mirror ball is
included for slow dances.
