Who will the DJ be?
If selected as the DJ for your event, the DJ will be Dr. Gilly, and ONLY Dr. Gilly.  It is in the contract as well.  Every contract should mention who the scheduled DJ will be.  You should also meet with that person prior to signing the contract, and work with him/her prior to your event.

Do you belong to a professional organization or trade group?
I am a member of the American Disc Jockey Association (www.adja.org), and the Central IL DJ Association.  In addition, I am constantly networking with top DJs in the country to get new and fresh ideas.  I also attend seminars, workshops, and invest in materials to improve my business and performance.

Do you have a written contract?
Yes.  My contract describes the  date, times, location, and who the DJ will be.  The DJ will be Dr. Gilly, PHM.

Are you insured?  Do you have proof of liability insurance?
Yes. A business owner should have insurance to cover his assets, and should also have liability insurance.
I have insurance to cover me, should any unforseen circumstance arise.  If there is a breach of contract, or an accident occurs,  you may choose to recover from your loss.  If the DJ is not insured, you may not recover

Will you be the master of ceremonies?
I will be the Master of Ceremonies unless you select another MC.  I will also provide coordination, to work with the other vendors, unless you hire an event coordinator.  We will discuss these questions during our consultations.

Does the DJ have references from prior similar events?
During our consultations, I will show you many of the references I have.  Feel free to call any one of them.
As your search continues for an entertainer, you should ask each DJ for references as well.

How much experience do you have in my type of event?
With 25 years of DJ and entertainment experience, I have done numerous events of different types.  Contact me to discuss your type of event.

What is your attire?
This is a question that we will also discuss.  The bottom line is--it depends on your type of event, your theme, and how you want the DJ to be dressed.  In most cases, for formal wedding receptions, the Doctor will be in a tux.

How early do you arrive to set up?
I usually arrive 2 hours to set up.  This allows time to get the equipment set up, meet the staff and other professionals, make final preparations, and change into my appropriate attire

What is the backup plan if you cannot perform?
As a member of the Central IL DJ Association, I can utilize those resources, as well as solicit other local DJs, so that your event will not go without an entertainer.

What format is your music in? Do you bring all of your music to the event?
About how many titles in your collection?
Music is all on CDs.  Music collection size is over 1500 CDs, 20,000 songs--all brought to your event
